My mother is from Yaremche, high up in the Carpathian Mountains and my father is from the village Scheploty in Lviv Oblast.  Active in the Ukrainian community in Los Angeles, I became involved with the Holodomor Committee at the same time the Russian invasion of Ukraine began and am dedicated to bringing our message of the historical genocide against Ukrainians to the links between the past and the present.
